It was in March 2025 that i decided to visit the City of Amsterdam in the Netherlands. I am currently living in Rovaniemi, Finland. During this month, we, living in the Arctic Circle, barely see the sun. With only two days of free day from work, I decided to visit a place where i could possibly see the sun. I checked the Ryan Air mobile application, and saw an Airplane ticket for 50,10 euro from Rovaniemi, Finland to Brussels, Belgium back and forth, it was cheap and right away i booked it.
From Brussels, Belgium i rode a Flibco.com bus to Amsterdam and it costed me 19,00 Euro. I booked it with the help of Omio mobile application.
From Piarcoplein, Amsterdam i rode a metro going to the central station of Amsterdam. 24 hours travel ticket via metro costs 9.50 euro and it can be bought in GVB mobile app.

I was in Amsterdam at around 6:00 am, just the right time to start the whole day trip.
I booked a day tour using Get Your Guide App and it costed me 35,10 euro for the 8 hour trip.
Our first stop of the trip was in the town of Schans.

Next stop was the town of Edam

The third stop was the town of Volendam

And the last stop of the paid tour was the town of Marken.

Being in a group tour saves time and money, and chances to meet other travelers are high.
The group tour ended at 6:00 pm in the city center of Amsterdam near the central station.
When the city got dark, i decided to visit the red light district.

At 10:00 pm, i went back to Rovaniemi, Finland via same transportation i used going to the city of Amsterdam, the Netherlands.
