Basmati Rice

Instructions

  1. Combine saffron and hot water.
  2. In a bowl, combine rice and water. Add salt.
  3. In a pot, boil water with salt.
  4. When the water is already boiling, add in the rice. Cook until 80-90 percent done. Check by biting and when rice goes up in the water.
  5. Strain in cool running water.
  6. Transfer to another pot, add in 2-3tbsp water and olive oil. Cover with towel, put pan on top.
  7. Steam the rice.
  8. Transfer to plate.
  9. Reserve 2 big spoon of rice and drizzle with saffron water. Then combine with the rice in plate.
  10. Garnish with parsley.
