Philippines has many islands and every island is surrounded by a body of water. It is known that this country has many pristine beaches. One of the example of its amazing beaches can be found in the Calaguas Islands.

Given in the map shown above, the Calaguas Islands are located north of Daet.

Though Calaguas islands is under the sovereignty of the town of Vinzons, the islands can be reached by riding a boat from the town of both Paracale and Vinzons. Riding a both may take 2-3 hours to reach this amazing islands. The wave can go both calm and restless depending on the season. Better check the direction of wind because it can greatly affect waves.

Crossing the Pacific Ocean has bearing with the safety traveling by boat. It is always safe to wear safety garments. But the boat ride is worth the risk and wait because the Calaguas Islands are one of a kind. Shown in the map above, you can see already the long beaches. The most popular beach in these islands is the Mahabang Buhangin which can be translated in English as Long Beach.

There are many travel agency where you can ask for guidance in the tour. What can I advice is to travel in these islands during weekdays to avoid overcrowding.

I can not help but to be amazed by the sceneries the moment I stepped in this beautiful island.

The sand can be compared to a very fine white powder.

The first impression that I had was that it looked like a huge clear swimming pool because the underneath is clear without any rock nor sea shells in it.

Even the trees here are great. This tree has blew me away for its beauty.

The presence of trees in a beach add views and elevates one’s mood.

Because there were no hotel here, cabana and tents were available as accommodation. The sense of being away from urban life can be experienced in this remote island.

The choice of food that our accommodation offered us was delicious and has varieties.

The great view were always during the early morning because the surrounding was clear and no boat was around. It tended to overcrowd during weekend and holidays. Overall, the experience in this island was great 🙂
